Smart Island
The Smart Island is the floating toolbar at the bottom of your screen. It’s called “smart” because it adapts to show exactly what you need based on your current selection and workflow mode.
How It Works
The Smart Island changes dynamically:
- No selection: Shows general actions (add nodes, run workflow)
- Node selected: Shows operations compatible with that node
- Multiple selected: Shows batch operations
Category Modes
To help you find the right tools quickly, TongFlow offers six preset category modes. Each mode prioritizes actions relevant to specific creative workflows.

Switching Categories
- Look for the category dropdown on the Smart Island
- Click to open the category menu
- Select your preferred category
- The action buttons will reorder to prioritize relevant tools
Your category preference is saved automatically.

Action Availability
Actions appear based on:
- Your selection: What node(s) you have selected
- Your category: Which mode is active
- Compatibility: What operations are possible
Gray/disabled buttons indicate the action isn’t available for your current selection.
Progress Monitoring
When workflows run, the Smart Island shows:
- Current operation name
- Progress percentage
- Elapsed time
- Cancel button (if supported)
Results automatically appear in connected nodes when complete.
